I was sitting in class one day and I clicked on the assignment we had to do for the day. Since it was an online dual enrollment civics class, we had a bit more liberty as to what we did during the period. So I took it as a chance to get ahead. I read the instructions of the assignment and it was revealed that we would create a brochure or a comic of how a business would operate. We had to include the type of business that we were (partnership etc), if we had a labor union and whatnot, and how we would incorporate the idea of "Going Green." I was plenty excited! It was one of the few opportunities where I got to show off my designs! So I chose to include a business named Graphic Pixel where I could talk about how we make designs. I started with the color of the paper. But it was hard since nothing gave me the vibe I wanted from Graphic Pixel. I needed a modern, but professional vibe that contrasted the color green (which I planned to use for the Going Green requirement). I ended up just leaving it at black since it was the color that seems to go well with any color. After that, I began writing the stuff down and editing a bit. Of course, since it was just a draft and the design of this brochure would probably never be seen, I didn't give much thought about the words I chose to write it with. But I formatted the words to fit the aesthetic vibe I wished to convey. With the black background, I ended up making my words white, which meant there had to be a color that represented a modern company. Blue came to mind in the first place but I felt that it would not contrast the green that I was going to use later on. So in the end, I chose a warm orange. It went well with the rest of the brochure. Lastly, I chose the pictures, created the corner designs, and formatted everything to look the way you see it now. I think it looks pretty good. But other people may have different opinions about it.
