Being right next to the Water Dragon drawing, I wanted to practice anatomy of the human body. But I am a self-taught artist so... Anatomy is not my strong suit. But the face of the drawing is! . However, I decided to try and recreate a drawing I found on the internet. Was I intimidated... yes. Scared... yes... Why? Because this was going to go in my sketchbook. It may not sound like much but it is quite intimidating to create something new in a sketchbook. So, to start the drawing, I began drawing the general face of the boy I saw. To create a reference of where the rest of the body was going to go, I drew the arm right next to the head and made sure I was able to create the proportions of the torso. But I was never good at drawing arms or feet, so they look kind of off. However, I feel proud of how it came it. It shows my effort at drawing something I know I am not good at. Now I can open my sketchbook and smile at the drawing of the boy sleeping.
